Conversion racket that raised suicide
squad busted Yogi Adityanath
Jul 3, UP CM Yogi
Adityanath made a
sensational disclosure
in an interview to
Republic TV, about the
arrested individual,
Mohammad Umar
Gautam, a resident of
Delhi’s Batla House
area, who was
instrumental in a mass
conversion racket that
changed the faith of
over 1,500 non-Muslims
to Islam. The CM
disclosed that Umar
had a network for
conversion that spread
across 25 states and
received international
funding from inimical
agencies including
Pakistan’s ISI via
hawala channels. The
conversion racket
targeted children with
disability, who would be
radicalised with the aim
of using them in suicide
squads to target
important centres,
religious places and
VVIPs.
He added that UP has
created a team of 500
police officers to
investigate this crime
and it has gathered the
needed evidence.
The chief minister
outlined the
chronology of how the
plot was unearthed.
Jun 2, two men with
Hindu names entered
the Dasna temple,
Ghaziabad, where Shri
Yati Narshighanand
Saraswati resides.
When they were
searched surgical
blades, potentially
lethal, were found on
them. A police
investigation was
ordered. It was found
both were Muslims
with fake Hindu names.
The two were arrested
for conspiring to attack
Yati Narshinganand.
Investigations also
revealed that one
Salimuddin who was
also involved had
earlier converted one

ED summon, approaches SC to shield him
Jun 30, The RBI declared
that India had reported a
net current account
surplus of about 1% of
the GDP for financial year
2020-2021. This is a first
in 17 years. The year
before India had
reported a deficit of
about 1%.
Factors contributing to
the surplus include a fall
in imports due to a
partial opening of the
economy and travel
restrictions during the
pandemic coupled with
foreign exchange fund
raising by Reliance Jio.
The resilience of the
software services which
accounted for 49 per cent
of total services exports
also drove the surplus,
the Economic Survey had
pointed out earlier.
A current account surplus
arises when the foreign
exchange inflows from
exports and net
investments exceed
outflows on imports. Our
high crude import bill has
been a key driver of
trade deficit in the past.

According to cops the
modus operandi was to
target the economically
weaker sections,
women, children and
the specially abled. The
two reportedly made
false promises of jobs,
money and marriage to
convert to Islam. They
also instilled hatred
towards the previous

Families of children

Arnab Goswami interviews Yogi Adityanath after a resounding BJP win in the UP Zila
Parishad polls - Part 1
the upcoming
Assembly election
under Yogi
Adityanath. Why do
you think this was so?
Yogi In the past too,
I’ve received a lot of
love from the Lutyen
Toolkit lobby. This is
because the Toolkit
lobby has nothing to
do with Bharat or
Bhartiyata. They
dislike both. These
people wish to see
Uttar Pradesh as
Danga Pradesh’ or an
‘Anarchy Pradesh’.
These are people who
are raised on the
leftovers of the UP
mafia. So when we
attack the mafia raj ,
finish the ‘gunda’ raj,
destroy anarchy and
make the state riot
free, it is quite
natural that the worst
reaction comes from
this toolkit lobby.
From time to time,
BJP, under the
honourable PM’s
guidance, has given
this toolkit lobby a
befitting reply, and
will continue to do
that in future.
Arnab This time the
lobby had tried to
create a narrative
that Yogi Adityanath
stands weakened
after the pandemic’s
second wave. Do you
believe their thinking
will change after the
Zila Parishad election
results?
Yogi-They will never
change. But it is what
the people of the
state have resolved
from 2014 onwards
(that matters). Under
the guidance of the
honourable prime
minister, the people
of our state saw the
nation transform.
After 2017, under the
prime minister’s
guidance, the nation
watched Uttar
Pradesh transform.
People welcomed
this. This Lutyen’s
Toolkit lobby will
stand exposed once
more. I believe this
trust of the people is
our greatest asset. It
is on this trust that,
under the leadership
and guidance of our
prime minister, the
BJP will return to
form government in
2022 with a
resounding majority.
Arnab In the past
few weeks we have
seen fake news
incidents being raked
up almost daily; not
only in Uttar Pradesh,
but across the nation.
We find inimical
interest abroad
targeting us. The
Ghaziabad fake video
(where it was falsely
alleged that an
elderly Muslim man
was beaten up by a
group of Hindus for
failing to say ‘Jai Shri
Ram’) was aimed to
show that under the
Yogi Adityanath
government Muslims
are being attacked. It
was trying to show
the slogan ‘Jai Shri
Ram’ negatively.
They also gave the
Munawwar Rana
case a communal
overtone, a Hindu-
Muslim colour.
Political parties got
involved. It this, their
preparation for the
elections?
Yogi-Since March 19,
2017, when the prime
minister, Narendra
Modiji and the home
minister Amit Shah ji
chose to appoint me
as the state’s chief
minister, each day
has been like a test.
And we have passed
each test successfully
to move forward.
Such conspiracies
have occurred at
each step and they
have made us
stronger. The truth in
the Gaziabad Loni
fake video incident
and Munnawar
Rana’s son’s fake
allegations (where
the son had falsely
alleged he was
attacked with guns by
two goons) has been
laid bare before the
nation and public.
There will be such
conspiracies in future
too. We are fully
aware of it.
I only appeal to the
nation’s media that
whenever such
sensitive incidents
come to light, please
check the veracity of
the claims before
broadcasting it. If
such inflammatory
concocted incidents
are raked up in media
trials they can result
in great damage to
society.
The people and state
suffer major
consequences. I feel,
no one should
become a co-
conspirator in such
crime. A lie has no
legs to travel, and the
truth can never be
falsified.
Arnab-Yogiji, in both
these fake news
cases, the Ghaziabad
Loni and the
Munnawar Rana
incidents, and at an
international level,
vested interests are
trying to target you.
The international and
American media
repeatedly try to label
you a ‘Hindu militant
leader’. You have
now nearly
completed five years
as chief minister,
before that you have
been a
parliamentarian in
several successive
terms. You have now
completed several
decades in national
politics. Despite it,
why does the
international media
project you has a
‘Hindu militant
leader’?
Yogi-Only what their
minds can
comprehend, they
or community. We
will continue to work
in this manner.
Earlier governments
were discriminatory.
Hindu offenders
would be punished
while criminals from
other faiths were let
off. Rioters were
felicitated at the chief
minister’s residence.
Their government
helicopter was
misused in the
service of such rioters
and anti-nationals.
Earlier governments
forced victims to
retract court cases
against attackers of
our security forces or
people of the Hindu
faith. Today we
consign such
criminals to jail and
have them
sentenced.
Naturally,
international vested
interests, which had
used such criminals
as agents to spread
anarchy in the
country and state,
will feel the pain.
Their tools are being
blunted. They feel
frustrated. We
cannot be bothered
with that. We will
serve the state till the
end. We will
sincerely discharge
the responsibility we
have been given and
work for the safety,
prosperity and peace
of the 25 crore
people in the state.

congratulations for
winning 66 of the 75
seats in the UP Zila
Parishad election!
That is 85% of the
total seats. How will
this impact the run up
to the Assembly
elections?
Yogi-This victory is
the result of the
effort put in by BJP
workers and its public
representatives.
Under the guidance
of prime minister
Narendra Modi, the
development and
public welfare works
that Uttar Pradesh
has witnessed have
been welcome by its
people. So today 66
of the 75 heads of
Zila Parishad are from
the BJP. The trend of
BJP election wins
witnessed in 2014,
2017 and 2019, ie the
Lok Sabha, Vidhan
Sabha and the Lok
Sabha once more, will
prevail in the 2022
Assembly election.
No one should
harbour any doubt
about this.

will work to support

The word Karma is
derived from the
Sanskrit Kri, to do; all
action is Karma.
Technically, this word
also means the effects
of actions. In
connection with
metaphysics, it
sometimes means the
effects, of which our
past actions were the
causes. But in Karma-
Yoga we have simply
to do with the word
Karma as meaning
work. The goal of
mankind is knowledge.
That is the one ideal
placed before us by
Eastern philosophy.
Pleasure is not the
goal of man, but
knowledge. Pleasure
and happiness come
to an end. It is a
mistake to suppose
that pleasure is the
goal. The cause of all
the miseries we have
in the world is that
men foolishly think
pleasure to be the
ideal to strive for.
After a time man finds
that it is not
happiness, but
knowledge, towards
which he is going, and
that both pleasure and
pain are great
teachers, and that he
learns as much from
evil as from good. As
pleasure and pain pass
before his soul they
have upon it different
pictures, and the
result of these
combined impressions
is what is called man's
"character". If you
take the character of
any man, it really is
but the aggregate of
tendencies, the sum
total of the bent of his
mind; you will find
that misery and
happiness are equal
factors in the
formation of that
character. Good and
evil have an equal
share in moulding
character, and in some
instances misery is a
greater teacher than
happiness.
